The beautifully landscaped Memorial Causeway connects Clearwater Beach to the city of Clearwater via the new 70' high fixed span bridge. This is a major sailing community that offers deep navigable waters and easy gulf access, excellent fishing and water sports, such as jet skiing, parasailing and water skiing. Clearwater has two major malls and the county has 42 golf courses, several within 5 minutes of the beach.  

There are 10 excellent hospitals within 10 to 30 minutes and good public and private schools and universities. The Performing Arts Center is 20 minutes from the beach. There are many fine restaurants and casual dining establishments. Hyde Park and Channelside shopping districts, and fabulous desigers at International Plaza with over 200 shops, fine restaurants and boutiques and Saks Fifth Avenue located in Tampa, only 30 minutes away.  

Disney World, Sea World and Epcot Center are 90 minutes away, and Busch Gardens is only a 45-minute drive.
