Meet Joanne Hiller

A resident of Clearwater Beach since the 50's, Joanne is the President and Owner of Island Estates Realty and earned the designation G.R.I. (Gradute Realtor's Institute). She has worked as a real estate professional for 20 years. Born in Massachusetts, Joanne moved to Florida with her family as a child. She majored in business and became a paralegal working for the state attorney while attending junior college. She moved back to Massachusetts and worked for a real estate firm, then for a large corporation in the Site Acquisition Department for five years while attending college majoring in business. Joanne returned to Clearwater in 1978 and since then has specialized in waterfront properties.

Joanne's interests are scuba diving, boating, deep-sea fishing, flying and motorcycle riding. Often working seven days a week, Joanne doesn't have much leisure time, but she and her husband, Rory, try to schedule get-aways to go to the theatre or photograph nature in area parks. They have enjoyed three exciting Kentucky Derbys and have done some horse jumping themselves.

In addition to being President and Owner of Island Estates Realty, Joanne has a weekly real estate column, is a member of the Florida Association of Realtors, the Greater Clearwater Association of Realtors, the Island Estates Civic Association, the Island Estates Women's Club, Alpha PSI Omega Sorority, and a prestigious member of the Chairman's Club for having sold $100 million in real estate.
